Additional Tree Pictures

A couple of days later.

Here is the first day.

I ran into a real tree issue at 7th and Indian Hill!
Here's a part of it.
And finally, this...

Here is this part, somewhat near Lassen. This goes around to Shenandoah.

Looking towards Indian Hill, you can see the incredible amount of "lift" that there is, looking along the sidewalk!
Here we look along the sidewalk out to Indian Hill.

The Great Claremont Wind Sweep: Friday, January 21, 2022

We go out the next day: a tree uprooted on top of a house!

We see a tree across a road.

In here is a tree.
This is around College Ave. In here is a flattened tree, with an incredible root structure!
We have a tree absolutely in the center of College Avenue!
Another tree down along College Avenue.
This is 4th and College, where two people were killed eleven years ago. Luckily, there were no persons killed!
What a root structure!
This is at Berkeley at Ninth Avenue.

Views at Lightscape, Los Angeles Arboretum, January 3rd 2022

Video from "Lightscape" exhibit, at L.A. Arboretum. It is from the installation called "Singing Trees." The looped voice recordings were excellent.

Here, we go into the "Singing Trees," together with other visitors!

A virtual forest. The trees slowly changed from one color to another.
Real torches illuminated this installation! A figure in black tended them, re-lighting as needed.
Looking across the torchlit field to another installation beyond.
An illuminated Hollywood Walk of Fame, complete with theme music from each movie featured on the walk.
Movie title "stars" leading visitors down the path.

A peace flag pagoda, glowing under blacklights. The blacklights set our clothing aglow too!

We joined this vampire family for a photo op, promoting a February movie opening.
This quiet pathway was a mosaic of multicolored tiles.
Woops! Wrong turn, and a brief peek behind the scenes.  Amazing to think the work that went into designing each installation specifically for this venue.
Towering blooms! Are they tulips? Or perhaps otherworldly species? We hoped they weren't carnivorous.
The tunnel of a thousand lights is just ahead...
...or is it a cavern?

Which star-studded TV series was filmed here at the LA Arboretum? HINTS: White suits. Tropical setting. "The plane! The plane!"

A lone white tree, ensconced in a glowing purple glade.

Pulsating dandelions!

And into the forest we go... sounds like a gathering of some kind, just around the corner.
A party of chromed creatures...
Replete with shimmering disco ball!
They seem to be pondering something together. They are reflective, after all.
A perfectly spherical head!
At points along the way were cafes, serving warm food and drink for chilly walkers.  Each cafe was
Nice street scenes.
Coming into the final stretch of our stroll.
A field of rhythmic patterns danced to a symphony of orchestral music.
At the back, a leaping fountain punctuated the orchestral crescendos.

In the distance, a glimpse of the flickering torches we saw at the start of our walk.
